"Are you negotiating successfully?" 17/11/09

Pippa ran a one day negotiation skills workshop in London on 17th November on behalf of the West London Business chamber of commerce.

The event was for people who work internationally and import or export goods and services and included:

  • Managing your body language and reading that of others
  • What you need to know about the other side’s position: the five key aspects which give you insight
  • What you need to plan on your own position: know your three parameters

  • Do's and Don'ts of international negotiating
     

"Demystifying the EU" - Bill at the IPT

Bill spoke at an Industry & Parliament Trust event on Tuesday 17th November at Scotland House in Brussels.

The event, which was part of the IPT's European Study Programme for Industry, was attended by executives and officials from the UK private and public sectors. 

Bill's session, entitled entitled "From Theory to Practice,"  included

  • working examples of cooperation with the European Commission
  • Recommendations of how to influence European legislation
  • Networking on the Brussels scene and demystifying the process

Pippa's UKTI London workshop 3 November 2009

Pippa ran the workshop "International Business Meetings - turning contacts into clients" for UK Trade & Investment on Tuesday 3rd November 2009 at New City Court, 20 St Thomas Street, London SE1 9RS.

Pippa storms Madrid

13 October 2009

Pippa's conference sessions at the IBA Annual Conference in Madrid last week were "an enormous success," she reported on her return. She was running three events on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as contributing to an event run by the Women Lawyers interest group.

More than 250 people attended her sessions over the course of the conference.
